Session Summary



This presentation will discuss the major changes to full-text search in SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3. The major change that will be discussed in depth is that all full-text catalogs must be rebuilt when an instance of SQL Server 2000 is upgraded to Service Pack 3.

This is a Level 200 session that was recorded January 9, 2003 and presented by Erika Christensen & Rashid Jean-Baptiste. Erika Christensen has been working with the SQL Server Support Team for 2 years now, and currently holds an MCSD and MCDBA certification.
Rashid Jean-Baptiste graduated from Florida A&M University in May 1999 with a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems. Since July, 1999 he has been working with SQL Server Support in Charlotte, North Carolina. Rashid is currently a Technical Lead in the SQL Server Support group, and one of his specialty areas is full-text search.
