SYMPTOMS

When you use the Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 or Commerce Server 2002 Business Desk Product Picker, you may receive the following error message:

Error: Expression does not return a DOM node. ./<--
Code: 0

RESOLUTION

It is very important that you do not bypass this script error message and continue. If you bypass this error message, database corruption may occur and your Commerce site may not function properly.

A hotfix is available for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 1 to correct this problem.

810395 Script Error When You Are Using Internet Explorer 6

Note Hotfix 810395 is now available for Microsoft Windows Server 2003. Current security updates for this hotfix will include the hotfix if you install the hotfix before you install the update. The hotfix will not be applied if it is not installed before the security update is installed. The next service pack release will include the hotfix.
