SYMPTOMS
When you try to insert or to update an
OLE Link
Field that is in a Word 2002 table, you may receive the following
error in the field result:
Error! Not a valid
link.
The problem occurs when the
OLE Link Field is
added to the document as
Unformatted Text in a cell of a Word
2002 table. Depending on how you select to update the field, or in what cell
the field is inserted, you may not see the problem every time.
The
problem only occurs in Word 2002.
RESOLUTION
Service Pack Information
