This article is designed to help you in troubleshooting some of the general error messages that you may experience when you use Smart Display.

You may experience one or more of the following error messages when you use Smart Display:
  • When you log on to a limited user account from the Smart Display client, you may receive the following error message:
    Smart Display Fatal Error Dialog- Permission Denied
  • When you try to install Smart Display on a host computer that does not have at least Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1 installed, you may receive the following error messages:
    Error launching setup. Please Setup.exe from CD 1
    Only part of a readprocessmemory or writeprocessmemory request completed. Setup.exe

  • You may receive the following error message:
    Critically Low Memory Error on Smart Display
    To resolve this issue, reset your Smart Display to clear the error message.
  • You may receive the following error message:
    Network Troubleshooter fails with a Healthy Wireless Network
    This error message means that the Smart Display is resetting the wireless network adapter. This is typical behavior, and you can safely ignore this error message. To clear the error message, restart your Smart Display.
