XADM: Information That Is Recorded in the System Event Log for Event 1083 Contains Incomplete Information (810179)

SYMPTOMS

When event ID 1083 is logged on Exchange 2000 Server, incomplete information is recorded in the system event log. For example, some fields may display the percent sign (%) followed by a number instead of the expected information. The following example illustrates this problem: Event Type: Error

CAUSE

This problem occurs when Exchange 2000 does not use all the required parameters to generate the error message.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix Information

Because of file dependencies, this update requires Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 3 (SP3).
