SYMPTOMS
You cannot start Key Management Service (KMS) in Microsoft Exchange 5.5 . Additionally, you receive the following message in the Application event log:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchangeKMS
Event ID: 5058
Description:
Microsoft Exchange Key Management service has trapped an exception.
Event data contains exception and context records.

To resolve this problem, obtain the November 2004 Update Rollup
for Exchange Server 5.5.
