XCCC: Users Cannot Sign In to Outlook Web Access After You Reconnect a Mailbox (810071)



The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 SP4

SYMPTOMS

After you reconnect a mailbox to a user account by using Exchange System Manager or by using the Mbconn tool, the user cannot sign in to the Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 version of Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) if that Exchange 5.5 OWA server is pointing to a Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server mailbox server.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
