MORE INFORMATIONACER 1100 386 SX
The Acer 1100 386 SX Laptop computer has a power-saving utility that must
be disabled to execute Windows versions 3.0 and 3.0a in enhanced mode. The
power-saving utility is enabled and disabled through the CMOS setup of this
computer.
ACER 1100LX 386
When you use Acer's Setup utility to configure a new Acer 1100LX 386, the
default option, rather than the user-defined option, must be selected, or
Windows 3.0 cannot run in protected mode. Choosing the user-defined option
allows you to select such secondary options as Power Timeout and System
Standby Power.
Acer recommends NOT using the Acer1100 switch for HIMEM.SYS on the Acer
1100LX 386. This machine is not the Acer 1100 on the Windows 3.0 Hardware
Compatibility List.
