This article was previously published under Q78403 SYMPTOMS When you view an account register or a report in Microsoft
Money, some numbers in the Payment, Deposit, or Balance fields may be displayed
as pound signs (###########).CAUSE This behavior may occur if the number in the field is too
large to be displayed correctly.
Numbers higher than 999,999.99 may
be displayed as pound signs if Microsoft Windows is configured to use a display
resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, or if Windows is configured to use large fonts
for screen text. RESOLUTIONNote Because there are several versions of Windows, the following
steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product
documentation to complete these steps. Pound Signs in a Report If pound signs are displayed in a report, use the appropriate
method for your version of Money. Money 99 or Later- Click Customize.
- On the Fonts tab, click
Automatic in the Report Column Widths
list.
- Click OK.
Money 98 or Earlier- Click Customize.
- Click Widths.
- Click Automatic Width, and then click
OK.
- Click View.
- If the pound signs are still displayed, click
Customize, and then click Fonts.
- Select a smaller font size until the pound signs are gone.
Note You may type a smaller value than 8 in the Size
box. - As an alternative to step five, you may change from a fixed
width font (such as Courier or Line Printer) to a proportional font type such
as Times New Roman, or Arial.
This allows Money to adjust the spacing
between characters.
