SUMMARY

Word Processor files can be converted to and from AMI Pro 2.0 by converting the files to RTF (Rich Text Format).

Creating an RTF File

To create an RTF file in Works for Windows:

  1. From the File menu, click Save As.
    • In Works 4.0, 4.5, and 4.5a, click Save As Type.

    • In Works 3.0, click Save File As Type.

  2. Select RTF.
The file is given the extension .RTF.

Importing RTF Files

To import an RTF file:

  1. On the File menu do the following:
    • In Works 4.0, 4.5, and 4.5a, click Open.

    • In Works 3.0, click Open Existing File.

  2. In Works 4.0, 4.5, and 4.5a, select Files Of Type, and click RTF.

    In Works 3.0, select List Files Of Type, and click RTF.
  3. Click the desired RTF file.
Works automatically converts and opens the file.
