Works: Summary Totals Are Incorrect in Database Report (77567)

SUMMARY

Summary calculations in the database report of Works for Windows can be incorrect if they are closely preceded by either a manual or an automatic page break. This applies to both horizontal and vertical page breaks. This problem is corrected in Works for Windows 3.0.

MORE INFORMATION

This problem affects all Summary Line formulas such as Sum, Avg, Count, and so on.

WORKAROUND

  1. From the Edit menu, choose Copy Report Output.
  2. Open a Word Processor document.
  3. From the Edit menu, choose Paste.
The totals will now be correct.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works for Windows, versions 2.0 and 2.0a. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
