When sorting in ascending order (A-Z), if you choose to sort a field that contains mixed types of data (such as numbers and text), Microsoft Works will sort text first before numbers.
When sorting in descending order (Z-A), Microsoft Works will sort numbers
before text.
MORE INFORMATION
Works for Windows will always place blank fields at the bottom of your
sort, regardless of whether you choose ascending or descending.
