Works: How to Create Multiple-Line Fields in a Database (76767)

To create a multiple-line field display in the Works 2.0 database form
view, choose Field Size from the Format menu and input the number of lines for the field in the Height box. As you type within the multiple-line field, text will automatically wrap to the next line. To manually jump to the next line, press SHIFT+ENTER.
To create a multiple-line field display in the Works 3.0 or later database
list or report view, do the following:
- Select the field.
- Works for Windows 95 list view:
On the Format menu, click Field and select the Alignment Tab.
Works 3.x list and report views and Works 4.x report view:
On the Format menu, click Alignment.
- Click the Wrap Text option. Click OK.

Each multiple-line field is limited to 2047 characters. Multiple-line
entries are supported in the Form view, List view, and Report views.
Works 3.x
Each multiple-line field is limited to 256 characters. Multiple-line
entries are supported in the Form view, List view, and Report views.
Works 2.x
Each multiple-line field is limited to 256 characters, and the
multiple-line entries possible in the database form view are actually
retained on a single line in list view and reports.
