If the Microsoft Publisher Setup program issues the error message
"Disk full or source disk damaged," check for the following:
- Verify that there is room on the hard drive for the Publisher
program.
- Verify that the Publisher disks are not corrupt, by checking the
problem disk(s) using the MS-DOS CHKDSK utility. (For more information
about using CHKDSK, see your MS-DOS manual.)
- Make sure that the following utilities are not being invoked when
you start your system:
If you are using Publisher 1.0x, (not Publisher 2.0), also make sure
that the following utility is not being invoked when you start
your system:
If any of these programs are loaded, temporarily remove them from
the AUTOEXEC.BAT file and restart the system.
NOTE: If you are running Publisher 2.0x, do not remove SHARE.
Publisher 2.0x requires SHARE to run. Removing SHARE causes Publisher
2.0x to generate an error message that states SHARE needs to be
installed.
- Run Windows and make sure no other programs are running besides File
Manager and Program Manager. Check the "run=" and "load=" lines in the
WIN.INI file and remove any references after these lines.
