SUMMARY

Works cannot save spreadsheets in the SYLK file format. However, Works can read a file saved in the SYLK format. Works will read and translate SYLK file formulas, but cell formats will be lost.

MORE INFORMATION

To open a SYLK file in Works, do the following:

  1. From the File menu, click Open Existing File.
  2. Enter the filename (together with path if necessary) in the File Name box.
  3. Works asks if you want to convert the file from text. Click OK.
Works will then load the file. You can now save the file in the Works Spreadsheet format.
