Other tax programs, depending on the file format they require for importing data, may be compatible. However, no extensive testing has been completed at this time.

Money exports tax reports as tab delimited files in a Tax Exchange Format (.txf). To export the .txf file, use the appropriate method for your version of Money.

Money 2002, 2003, and 2004

  1. On the Money navigation bar, click Taxes, and then click Export to TaxCut on the drop-down menu.

    Or, on the File menu, click Export to Tax Software.

    NoteBusiness users, if you select Export to Tax Software on the File menu, you will see two additional screens. The first screen asks you to specify which taxes you want to export, Business or Personal. The second screen asks if you want to use the wizard. If you click Yes, continue with step 2. If you choose No, continue with step 5.
  2. In the Review taxes for list, click the tax year that you want to use, and then click Continue.

    Note Money 2003 and 2004 users, in the Enter the start date for tax year, click the correct start date.
  3. Click to select the check box for each item that is appropriate for the listed tax forms, and then click Continue.
  4. Click the link for Export your tax information as a data file you can use with any tax software program.
  5. Type a name for the file that you want to export, and then click OK.

Money 2001 and Money 2000

  1. On the Money navigation bar, click Taxes.

    If you are running Money 2001, click Tax Center on the drop-down menu.
  2. Under To do at tax time, click Export to Tax Software (as a TXF file).
  3. In the Review taxes for list, click the tax year that you want to use, and then click Continue.
  4. Click to select the check box for each item that is appropriate for the listed tax forms, and then click Continue.
  5. Click the link for Export your tax information as a data file you can use with any tax software program.
  6. Type a name for the file that you want to export, and then click OK.

Money 99

  1. On the File menu, click Export To Tax Software.
  2. In the Export Tax dialog box, enter a file name, and then click OK.

Money 98

  1. Go to the Gallery of Reports and Charts.
  2. Under Reports, click Taxes.
  3. Click Tax Software Report.
  4. Click Go To Report/Chart.
  5. Click Export.
  6. Name the file, and then click OK.

Money 97

  1. Go to the Report and Chart Gallery.
  2. On the button bar, click Taxes.
  3. Click Tax Software Report.
  4. Click Go To Report/Chart.
  5. Click Export.
  6. Name the file, and then click OK.
