The Packard Bell ISV 286 8 MHz computer is a discontinued model that dates
back to 1985. It runs proprietary BIOS created by Packard Bell that cannot
be updated and it uses a memory configuration that recognizes the first
640K of memory, but forces all subsequent memory into 512K increments. This
machine runs Windows in real mode only. Attempting to start Windows in
standard mode may cause the machine to reboot or lock up.
