SUMMARY

When creating a DOS LAN Manager version 2.0, 2.1, 2.1a, or 2.2 NCB (Network Control Block) POST routine for asynchronous operation, care should be taken to ensure that the routine is re-entrant if it is designed to run under the Windows version 3.0 or 3.1 enhanced mode with multiple NCBs outstanding.

Windows 3.0 and 3.1 do not permit interrupts to be shut down for a "critical" section. Therefore, if more than one NCB uses a common POST routine, multiple "interrupts" may activate the routine concurrently.
