BUG: LINK Does Not Pause When Command Line Specifies /PAUSE (58781)

Even though the Microsoft LINK command line includes the /PAU[SE]
option switch, the linker does not pause for keyboard input before
writing the executable file to disk.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft LINK
versions 3.61, 3.65, 3.69, and 5.01.20 through 5.6 for MS-DOS and
versions 5.0x, 5.1, 5.11, 5.13, and 5.15 for OS/2. We are
researching this problem and will post new information here in the
Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
