BUG: Cursor from INPUT Statement Incorrectly Displayed (57373)
This article was previously published under Q57373
SYMPTOMS
The cursor incorrectly displays in a compiled program when using the
INPUT statement in Microsoft QuickBasic Version 1.00 for the Apple
Macintosh.
During INPUT, a blinking cursor is supposed to be displayed showing
the place where the next character typed will appear. However, in a
compiled application, the cursor does appear on the screen indicating
where the next character be will placed, but it is not flashing. When
you start typing your input, the cursor disappears completely. It then
reappears (without flashing) and disappears as you type in more input.
This sequence is repeated as you type.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in Microsoft QuickBasic
for the Macintosh Version 1.00. We are researching this problem
and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
becomes available.
