To run a Mail server on a machine that is running GateKeeper (a
virus-detection program), use the Control Panel to add the Microsoft
Mail Server (located in the System Folder) to the privileged
applications list.
Mail requires the GateKeeper Res/Self checkbox to be selected for the
Microsoft Mail Server file to function properly.

To run a Mail client on a machine that is running GateKeeper, use the
above steps to add the workstation driver to the privileged
applications list. In Mail 2.00, the driver is called MS Mail 2.0 and
in Mail 3.00, the driver is called MS Mail.
The client also needs to have the Res/Self check box selected to
function properly.
