File and File Creator Type Can Be Set within Lightspeed C (45484)
This article was previously published under Q45484
SUMMARY
When creating a Pure Code resource in Lightspeed C Version 3.00 for
use in a Macintosh QuickBASIC Version 1.00 library, the File type and
File Creator type can be set from within the Lightspeed C editor. This
is not true for earlier versions of Lightspeed C.
The "Microsoft QuickBASIC for Apple Macintosh: Language Reference"
manual, Page 451, gives step-by-step instructions for creating a Pure
Code resource. Step 6 directs you to leave Lightspeed C, launch
ResEdit, and set the File type and File Creator type from within
ResEdit.
If you are using Lightspeed C Version 3.00 or later, this can be done
from within the Lightspeed C editor by choosing Set Project Type...
from the Project menu. A dialog box appears with the option to set the
File type and File creator type. For versions earlier than 3.00, Step
6 is still necessary.
