INPUT and LINE INPUT Make Macintosh Mouse Pointer Disappear (42702)
This article was previously published under Q42702
SUMMARY
In Macintosh QuickBASIC Version 1.00, the mouse pointer will disappear
after the execution of an INPUT or LINE INPUT statement. As soon as
the mouse is moved, the mouse cursor will reappear on the screen.
This behavior also occurs in the Macintosh BASIC Interpreter Versions
2.00, 2.10, and 3.00, and the Macintosh BASIC Compiler Version 1.00.
Microsoft is researching this behavior and will post new information
as it becomes available.
The following is a sample program that demonstrates this behavior:
INPUT; "Enter a character"; var$ 'Mouse will disappear
LOCATE 2,1
PRINT "The character you entered was a: ";var$
WHILE MOUSE(0) = 0:WEND 'Click mouse to end
