This article was previously published under Q39360 SUMMARY
Microsoft QuickBASIC for the Macintosh will run on the Macintosh IIX
computer.
The Macintosh IIX computer has a 68030 processor, a new math
coprocessor, and a 1.44-megabyte disk drive. QuickBASIC Version 1.00
is not able to generate 68030 code and cannot take advantage of the
special features of the 68030 chip, but QuickBASIC's code can still be
used on this hardware.
Microsoft has not announced plans to upgrade QuickBASIC to take
special advantage of the new capabilities in the 68030 chip.
