SYMPTOMS

In the Distributed File System (DFS), if you are an administrator, you can use the Dfsutil.exe utility /insite command-line switch to force access to only those servers that are in the same site as the client, and not to any other servers. Client computers that are not in any site continue to receive DFS referrals.

The hotfix that this article describes causes DFS to exclude unsited clients from referrals when you use the /insite switch.

See the "More Information" section of this article for additional information about the Dfsutil.exe utility.
