SYMPTOMS

The delivery of Microsoft Message Queuing (also known as MSMQ) event messages may fail intermittently. This occurs when the event publisher is a COM+ application that publishes events to the LCE class, and the subscriber is an application that uses the Windows Scripting Component (WSC). The first run of the application is typically successful. However, subsequent runs may fail. If this occurs, the subscriber receives one message. Then, the subscriber must be restarted to receive the first message again.

Events similar to the following may be logged in the Event Viewer:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: EventSystem
Event Category: (52)
Event ID: 4356
Date: 9/18/2002
Time: 12:16:35 PM
User: N/A
Computer: TestBox
Description: The COM+ Event System failed to create an instance of the subscriber
