SYMPTOMS
When a calculated member that uses a time based Visual
Basic for Applications (VBA), Excel, or User library function is defined in
Analysis Services, the value returned by the function may not change between
executions of the query on the client.
For example, if the
calculated measure GetTime is defined in the
Sales cube of the
Foodmart 2000 database as
Now(), the value that is returned in the MDX Sample Application by this
query
SELECT {[Measures].[GetTime]} ON Columns FROM [Sales]
will be the same until the client disconnects, and then
reconnects.
RESOLUTION
A
supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to
correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to
computers that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive
additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this
problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Microsoft SQL Server
2000 Analysis Services service pack that contains this hotfix.

time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time.

Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
