Task Attachments Are Not Received over Infrared Beaming (331359)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows CE for Pocket PC 2002
This article was previously published under Q331359 SYMPTOMS
If you receive a Microsoft Pocket Outlook task with attachments over infrared beaming, the task exists but the attachment may not be received.
CAUSE
Attachments that are larger than a particular internal (but arbitrary) threshold are not correctly handled by the operating system. This is known to occur only on East Asian versions of the operating system.
RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, limit the size of attachments that you send over an infrared beaming connection. You may have to experiment to determine the internal threshold.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
