Windows Explorer stops responding when you cancel a print job in the Norwegian version of Windows XP (331327)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional

This article was previously published under Q331327

SYMPTOMS

In the Norwegian version of Microsoft Windows XP, you try to delete a print job. When you click Ja to confirm the cancellation, Windows Explorer may stop responding, and you may receive the following error message:
Explorer.EXE har et problem og ma lukkes. Vi beklager det inntrufne.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the message that prompts you to confirm the cancellation contains the extra characters "%s." The US English version of Windows XP does not have these extra characters in the confirmation message. Therefore, the error does not occur in the US version.
