Ofant.sys causes stop 0x00000005 error when Message Queuing is installed (330962)

SYMPTOMS

A driver named Ofant.sys, which is included with ArcServe (a product by Computer Associates), may cause the following blue screen error when Microsoft Message Queue Server, also known as MSMQ, 1.0 or Microsoft Message Queuing 2.0 is installed:
INVALID_PROCESS_ATTACH_ATTEMPT (Stop 0x00000005)

CAUSE

This problem is caused by the Ofant.sys driver when it attaches to the Mqsvc.exe process.

RESOLUTION

This is fixed in a later version of the Ofant driver that has the following file attributes:
   Date          Time     Size     File name
   -----------------------------------------
   19-Sep-2002   06:37   155915    Ofant.sys
