SYMPTOMS

If you perform a local file move operation between two File Replication service (FRS) replica sets that reside on the same local drive, the move may not be replicated to the other replica set members.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, move the file by using the network or by using a local copy-and-delete operation.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Windows Server 2003.
