Server Unexpectedly Drops a PPPoE Client Connection (330498)

SYMPTOMS

A device that you are using as a Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) client may be unexpectedly disconnected by the server after you establish a network session. If you monitor the PPPoE network packet data, you see that the client responds to a server request with an incorrect version or type field, or both, just before the client is disconnected.

RESOLUTION
