BUG: The English narrator is present in the German version of Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 3 (330147)

SYMPTOMS

After a clean installation of the German version of Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 3, the English version of Bildschirmleser (Narrator) is present on the Start menu under the Eingabehilfen section.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. Install the German version of Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 3 (SP3).
  2. Click Start, point to Programme, click Zubehor, and then click Eingabehilfen.

RESOLUTION

To remove the shortcut for Eingabehilfen (Narrator), follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Programme, click Zubehor, click Eingabehilfen
  2. Right-click the Bildschirmleser icon and select Loschen.
  3. When you receive a prompt to confirm the deletion, click Ja.
