FIX: Access Violation May Occur When You Use Impersonation and XMLA Connection Pooling (330058)

SYMPTOMS

When you use connection pooling from the XML for Analysis (XMLA) SDK to impersonate users that connect to Analysis Services, the connection will not work if you try to connect to the server with a previously used connection. The application may experience an Access Violation.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing to further ensure product quality. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next P1 that contains this hotfix.
