OL2002: IMAP Synchronization Marks Messages As Unread After They Are Read in Offline Mode (329966)

SYMPTOMS

If an Outlook 2002 user downloads new e-mail messages by using Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP), and then the user reads the e-mail messages offline, the e-mail messages are still marked as unread after the user logs back on and synchronizes with the server.

This problem is corrected in Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 3.

Important Under certain circumstances, Microsoft Windows Installer 2.0 is required before you apply the Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) client-side hotfix. Use the following information to determine if you have to install Windows Installer 2.0:

This problem was first corrected in Office XP Service Pack 3.
