This article was previously published under Q329784 SYMPTOMS
If you are running Exchange with virus-scanning software that was written for Exchange, and the virus scanner code stops responding, it may cause the Store.exe process to fail or stop responding.
Contact your virus-scanning software vendor for further assistance with this issue. The virus-scanning software vendor will determine whether the issue is related to the virus-scanning software or is, instead, an underlying Exchange issue.
MORE INFORMATION
A number of antivirus software vendors implement solutions specifically for Exchange. Many of these products run in the Exchange store process and share its address space. Because of this close integration, when third-party virus-scanning software stops responding, it may cause the Exchange store to stop responding.
