MORE INFORMATION
NOTE: This article assumes that you do not have a keyboard installed
on your Tablet PC. The Input Panel serves as an input device, similar to the
keyboard.
Setup Does Not Repair Damaged .dll Files
When you try to repair damaged Tablet Pack .dll files with the
Tablet Pack Setup utility, the files are not repaired as expected.
Clipboard Operations Are Not Updated
When you try to copy and paste ink from one canvas to another,
the pasted canvas may not display all the ink from the copied canvas.
To resolve this issue, refresh the view to display all of the ink. To do this,
double-tap the pasted canvas to activate it.
Setup Does Not Prompt You to Close Applications
The Tablet Pack setup program does not prompt you to close any
Office applications before you continue the setup process. As a result, the new
ink features do not appear until you restart the Office application.
To resolve this issue, close all Office applications before you run the Tablet
Pack setup, or restart any open Office applications after you run the Tablet
Pack setup.
Cannot Change Background Ink Color
When you try to change the background color of a document, the
ink canvas background remains white.
NOTE: There is nothing wrong with your computer, and you did nothing
wrong. Office XP Pack for Tablet PC is configured so that the ink is visible in
any background color setting.
Ink Canvasses Appear Narrow or Black
When you try to create multiple canvases in an Office
application, multi-select, copy and paste them into Word, they appear to be
narrowed or to have a darkened background.
To workaround this issue,
copy and paste only one canvas at a time.
Ink Canvas Icon Does Not Appear
When you customize the toolbars or menu so the ink commands are
removed, resetting the toolbar or menu may not return the missing commands.
To resolve this issue, reset the toolbar or menu and then quit and
restart the application. To do this, follow these steps:
- Start the Office application.
- On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then tap Customize.
- Tap the Toolbars tab.
- Tap the Standard toolbar, or the Menu toolbar.
- Tap the Reset button.
- When prompted to make changes to the Standard toolbar, tap OK.
- Tap Close.
Office Clipboard Pane Does Not Automatically Update Ink Strokes
When you try to display the
Office Clipboard pane, and then copy some ink strokes, the ink strokes may appear
in the
Office Clipboard pane. If you then add additional ink strokes, and then perform a
copy operation, the
Office Clipboard pane may not update to display an option to view the new ink
strokes.
To workaround this issue, tap another task window, and then
switch back to the
Office Clipboard pane. The
Office Clipboard pane updates to display the new ink strokes.
Removing Office Pack While Office Applications Are Running Does Not Remove Menu and Toolbar Customizations
When you try to remove the Office Pack while Office applications
are running, the toolbar and menu customizations created by the Tablet Pack
remain.
Cannot Restore Ink Toolbar
When you close the
Ink toolbar while an ink canvas is active, the toolbar will not
reactivate.
To work around this issue, tap outside the canvas to
deactivate it, and then double-tap the canvas to reactivate it.
