SYMPTOMS

After you establish Group Policy to restrict access to a drive by selecting the Hide these specified drives in My Computer option and the Prevent access to drives from My Computer option, you can use Microsoft Project 2000 to locate restricted drives, although drive access is restricted through Group Policy.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
