Connectivity Issues Occur After You Install Norton AntiVirus 7.51 (329717)

SYMPTOMS

After you install or upgrade to Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition version 7.51, the following problems may occur:
  • Clients on the domain cannot connect to any of the domain controllers that run the Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition 7.51 Setup program.
  • Network clients receive the following error message:
    Not enough server storage is available to process this command.
  • Domain controllers cannot replicate.

CAUSE

The Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition 7.51 Setup program incorrectly modifies the registry to set the input/output (I/O) Request Packet (IRP) stack size value to its minimum value. The minimum value for this setting is lower than the default value for this setting. This may cause the problems that are listed in the "Symptoms" section of this article.

RESOLUTION
