SYMPTOMS
When you insert a project plan in a consolidated project
and copy tasks from the inserted project plan, Project 2002 may stop
responding, and you may receive the following error message:
Microsoft Project has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

When you view the data in the
error report, the report contains an error signature similar to the error
listed at the beginning of this article.
RESOLUTION
Service Pack Information
This problem is corrected in Project 2002 Service Pack 1.

correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to
computers that are experiencing this specific problem.
