SYMPTOMS

If you modify the computer description programmatically or through the registry, the Service.exe program may quit unexpectedly (crash).

Note The computer description is also known as the "server comment."

CAUSE

This problem may occur if you modify the computer description to have more than 48 characters. The UI limits the computer description to 48 characters.

RESOLUTION
