This article was previously published under Q329593 SYMPTOMS When you use the incremental linking feature of Link.exe,
the link may quit unexpectedly and you may receive an error message similar to
the following: LINK : fatal error LNK1105: cannot close
file 'Debug\MyApp.exe' The same project may have previously built
successfully in Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0. CAUSE This problem occurs because of a change in the quantity of

Hotfix information
The English version of this fix has the file attributes (or later) that
are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are
listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information,
it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local
time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
