FIX: Cannot Set Description for Dimensions and Measures by Using the CREATE GLOBAL CUBE Statement (329479)

SYMPTOMS

If you use the CREATE GLOBAL CUBE statement, the description cannot be set for dimensions and measures.

Service pack information

Hotfix information

The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.This problem was first corrected in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 4.

MORE INFORMATION

The description field for a dimension or a measure on a server cube can be set by using Dimension Editor or Cube Editor. The description can also be set on a local cube by using the SQL-style CREATE CUBE statement.
