SYMPTOMS

The CryptoAPI chaining engine in the Windows operating systems that are listed in the "Applies To" section of this article incorrectly selects a revoked certificate if a certification authority (CA) in the chain has two certificates (one active and the other revoked). The chaining engine should select the active certificate instead of the revoked certificate. Also, there is another issue with the Undefined nameConstraints extension. This issue may cause an error in the versions of Microsoft Windows that are listed in the "Applies To" section.
