SYMPTOMS

After you install Office XP on your Windows 98-based computer, constant hard disk activity may occur, and your computer may run slowly.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if you install the Office Alternative User Input feature, and your computer does not meet the minimum requirements for processor speed and memory.
