computer that uses a video card that is based on the S3 chipset (such as the Diamond
Stealth adapter), the computer may stop responding (or "hang").WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, either change the color
quality of your computer screen or decrease the hardware acceleration of your computer. To change the color quality, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then
click Control Panel.
- Double-click Display.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Under Color quality, select 16-bit
color in the drop-down list.
- Click OK.
To decrease the hardware acceleration, follow these steps: - Click Start, point to Settings, and then
click Control Panel.
- Double-click Display.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Click Advanced.
- Click the Troubleshoot tab.
- Slide the Hardware acceleration slider one or more steps to the left.
- Click OK two times.
