This article describes how to add the English (UK) Details Templates to Exchange 2000 Server. This article also describes the client-side changes that you have to make to use the English (UK) templates.

Make Server-Side Changes

  1. Copy the Template.ldf file from the Exchange Server CD. The file is located in Setup\I386\Exchange
  2. Open Template.ldf in Notepad, and then change the following:
    1. Replace all 409 entries with 809.
    2. Replace all "<OrgContainerDN>" entries with the actual value (CN= Addressing,CN=org name,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN= Configuration,DC=domain,DC=com).
    3. Find all displayName: English entries, and then change them to displayName: English (UK).
    4. Find all <%legacyOrgAndSiteNamePart%> entries, and then replace them with the actual /o= Organization/ou=Site value.
    5. Import the following file syntax: ldifde -i -k -f filename.ldf
This creates a new template in Exchange System Manager with the display name of English (UK).

You can now modify the templates to the settings that you want.

Make Client-Side Changes

You must update the registry so that clients can use the English (UK) templates. You must implement this step on all client computers. WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
  1. Create a DWORD registry key in your profile called 000366a1 under the following key:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\profile name\13dbb0c8aa05101a9bb000aa002fc45a
  2. Set the registry key to 0809 hexadecimal (2057 decimal).
