FIX: Custom Parser Cannot Gain Access to IInterchange::SubmitSync Parameters (329176)

SYMPTOMS

When a client calls the IInterchange::SubmitSync method, BizTalk eventually calls a custom parser if there is one custom parser registered for this interchange. However, the custom parser cannot gain access to these parameters, which are passed to SubmitSync.

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Steps to Install the Hotfix

  1. Run Hotfixsetup.exe.
  2. For each computer that is running BizTalk Server, and for each database group, you must run Btm_priorityupgrade.sql against the BizTalk InterchangeBTM database, and you must run Sq_priorityupgrade.sql against the BizTalk InterchangeSQ database. To do this, you must run the stored procedures against the affected BizTalk database.
  3. Restart the BizTalk Messaging Service.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was first corrected in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002 Service Pack 1.
