"Source Code Is Not Available" Error Message When Debugging an .inc File with Visual InterDev 6.0 (329130)

SYMPTOMS

When you are debugging a complex Visual InterDev 6.0 project and you are stepping into a function that is implemented in an .inc file, you may receive a "Source code is not available" error message.

CAUSE

This is a problem in Internet Explorer. The Mshtml.dll component of Internet Explorer does not correctly maintain an internal cookie table for the script objects.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Internet Explorer 6 service pack that contains this fix.
