This article was previously published under Q327979 INTRODUCTIONIf you try to play certain games on a Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1)-based computer, you may experience any one or more of the following symptoms: CAUSE This behavior occurs if the following conditions are true:
- The game that you want to play contains video that is
compressed with the Indeo video codec.
- The Indeo codec is not installed on the computer.
The Indeo codec is not included in Windows XP Home Edition SP1.
RESOLUTION To resolve this problem, obtain and install the 327979
recommended update. To do this, visit the following Microsoft Windows Update Web site: The English version of this update should have the following file
